About TLN

The Trojan Library Network was created in early 2005 by myself, FAV™, in hopes to inform others of the most wide-spread malicious files used throughout the world. Everyday a malicious program is authored, and there are several reasons for such a program to exist. It could be to intentionally reek havoc on a person, network or community, or to show off to friends by opening their cd tray from across the world. Like the Morris virus, not all malicious scripts are intended to cause harm. Most tech companies run malicious software they have personally coded to search for holes such as exploits in order to patch up security vulnerabilities. Just like in everyday life, it is important to understand ‘what is what’, before being scared of something. This is why Trojan Library Network was created.

TLN is dedicated to becoming one of the most detailed and resourceful online libraries of malicious files and scripts, known to both the public and underground internet security communities. The idea behind this website is to help the everyday web surfer keep their PCs and networks safe, by understanding what can get into them. With free downloads of several popular AntiVirus, Firewall and other vital PC utilities, TLN can help the scared or nervous, or simply uneducated PC user, prevent a lot of stress and frustration – even money.

The library index consists of information on thousands of different trojan horses, viruses, worms, spyware, malware and the like, and grows every single week. It’s geared to educate you on as much information about what you may become infected with.

Most visitors to TLN come here through a search engine after typing a name of a file they believe to be infected or causing some form of havoc on their system. Regardless of how or why you came across such a file, you can search this web site for the proper tools and information on how to dispose of it.

Many of you have contributed to TLN, and to those who have I’d like to give thanks. You are also welcome to email me with any questions or concerns you may have about anything pertaining to the site via the ‘Contact TLN’ atop this page.
